Notes:
The above estimated expenses for incoming exchange students are based on projected costs for a semester during the 2023-2024 academic year and are subject to increases every year.

The estimated housing cost is based on the rate for on-campus housing. International students are placed in extended living residence halls (Rodes Harlin or Hilltopper Hall). Most recent rates can be found HERE.  The cost of off-campus furnished apartments varies and could be more or less than the above estimate.

The $325 Meal Plan Dollars Flex Plan is only required if you do not purchase another larger meal plan, and it can be used at any on-campus dining service. Campus restaurants include vegan and vegetarian dining, allergen-friendly options, and low-calorie menus. More information can be found HERE. For most recent plan rates, please visit HERE.  Exchange students are not required to purchase a meal plan (except the minimum $325 Meal Plan Dollars).  It could be less expensive to buy groceries and cook for yourself, but transportation to shopping centers is limited.

The WKU health insurance is required for all international students and is an estimate based on current semester rates.
