Ahlan wa Sahlan!
This is a distinctive summer education abroad opportunity for students to engage in community-based learning in a Tunisian workplace. The program includes a study component in Tunisian Colloquial Arabic and a service learning component through a Community-Based Learning course. Applicants do not need prior Arabic study, knowledge of the region, or study abroad experience to participate in this program. Service learning placements are available for students who speak English, French, and/or Arabic.

Social Innovation Abroad
This program has a front-loaded, 15 contact-hour crash course in Tunisian Arabic, together with AMIDEAST Education Abroad's Community-Based Learning (CBL) course, a 45 contact-hour course about contemporary Tunisia that helps students contextualize their worksite experiences. To complete the experience, students will have a work placement of approximately 150 total hours with a Tunisian organization specialized in a field related to Tunisia's post-revolutionary social, economic, and/or political life. Placements are available in English, French, or Arabic.
