About the University
                                                        
National Chengchi University (NCCU) is a national co-educational research university first established in Nanjing, Jiangsu and now located in Taipei, Taiwan. It is considered to be one of the most prestigious and important universities of Taiwan. NCCU's main campus is in the Wenshan District, in the southern part of Taipei. NCCU was awarded the first prize in the Taipei Urban Landscape Award for its campus planning by the city government of Taipei.

Taipei is the political, economic, educational, and cultural center of Taiwan, and one of the major hubs of the Chinese-speaking world. Considered to be a global city, Taipei is part of a major high-tech industrial area. Railways, high-speed rail, highways, airports, and bus lines connect Taipei with all parts of the island. Taipei is home to various world-famous architectural or cultural landmarks which include Taipei 101, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Dalongdong Baoan Temple, Hsing Tian Kong, Mengjia Longshan Temple, National Palace Museum, Presidential Office Building, Taipei Guest House, Ximending, and several night markets throughout the city. Its natural features such as Maokong, Yangmingshan, and hot springs are also well known to international visitors.

Accommodations
International undergraduate students will be living the campus dormitories. All rooms are furnished with bed frame, reading desk with drawers, bookshelf, wardrobe, air conditioner, ceiling fan. Mattress, sheets, pillows and blankets are NOT included, and a pre-paid card (NTD$500/per card) is needed to use the air-conditioner. Dorm facilities include a TV room, laundry facilities, shared bathroom, and a service counter.
