Spend a month in Belize doing field research with an experienced Northern Kentucky University faculty member. Gain valuable skills, such as ethnographic interviewing, to develop an appreciation for Belizean cultural diversity.

Participants will reside at D Victoria Hotel in Orange Walk. Accommodations are based primarily on double occupancy with occasional use of triple rooms. Each room is equipped with air conditioning ceiling fan and private bath.
Course Description: Immerse yourself in Belize as you practice field research. The ethnographic field school is partnering with Belizean institutes and associations in order to contribute to an understanding of the culture of sugar cane farmers in Orange Walk District village communities. Our community partners will use our results and recommendations to develop and conduct workshops for farmers on agricultural techniques, economics, health, and other community development tactics.
